About AAUW

We are the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Westchester Branch, New York, a 501(c)(3), award winning organization with over 160 members. One of AAUW’s 1000 branches across the country, we are committed to advancing gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.

Our talented and resourceful membership makes a difference in the lives of women and girls, and benefits by being part of AAUW’s powerful state and national network for personal and professional growth.

Our flagship outreach projects are our annual Explore Your Opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Conference for 7th grade girls held at the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale (Bronx), and our $tart $mart Pay Negotiation workshops held at local colleges and universities to help narrow the gender wage gap.  We also support a wide variety of other action, interest, and social groups.

AAUW Mission: To advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.

AAUW Vision: Equity for all.

AAUW Values: Nonpartisan.  Fact Based.  Integrity.  Inclusion and Intersectionality.
